Myth #2 Busted!

BUSTED! A good gearmotor manufacturer with competent staff and equipment can turn even complicated samples around much quicker than the common 16 weeks. At TGC we’ll give you a timeline (based on your specs and budget) that, once committed to, we will meet.

Some in our industry promise next day samples. But if you dig into the fine print, you’ll find that this “promise” only applies to standard catalog products. Some make commitments they do not keep, putting your entire project in jeopardy.

Here’s the Truth
If your application only requires slight modification to a standard item, like a shaft detail, cord or connector, gear ratio change, etc., it is reasonable to expect a prototype to be turned around in a couple of weeks.

More complicated custom samples that include changes to motor windings or designs, new gearheads, castings, or other truly custom solutions will take longer accordingly. The important thing to know is that whatever delivery date TGC commits to, we will meet. The right gearmotor supplier will have the resources to significantly reduce lead times for prototypes. And the integrity to deliver what they promise.

Why wait? Stay on schedule. On budget.
With today’s rapid prototyping capabilities, it is no longer necessary to wait 16 weeks or more for a custom engineered gearmotor prototype. Even more important, is knowing when you can expect your sample. And having the confidence that your gearmotor supplier will do their part to keep your project on schedule and within budget.

Why not take advantage of TGC’s decades of experience with thousands of successful custom gearmotor applications? We can also help improve your machine’s performance and length of service ~ not to mention profitability!
